THE COMPANY: Paul Savident formed his Marketing & Press Management company in May 2000 following four years as Marketing Manager for Bill Kenwright.
Current work includes the PWR Events' Greenwich Ice Rink at the Old Royal Naval College, Hampstead Heath Ice Rink, Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink, Kew Gardens Ice Rink, Royal Windsor Ice Rink at Alexandra Gardens and Tower of London Ice Rink (2006 seasons), Cliff Richard's Here and Now Arena Tour (Nov/Dec 2006), a number of projects for International Theatre & Music including international productions and planning of Peter Pan The British Musical, the development of the new musical Waiting For The Dawn and West End & Co, Richard Leighton Life Coach. PAUL SAVIDENT is also the marketing, publicity and advertising consultant for PWR Events, Vanessa Ford Productions and Marc Sinden Productions and advertising consultants for Tony Clayman Promotions, The Bush Theatre, the Cliff Richard Organisation and Dance Umbrella.
Paul Savident is Marketing Director of The Ideas Foundry, a recently launched commercial company developing new writing for theatre, film, television and cross-media. The company launched in April 2005 and has recently presented Ron Hutchinson's Beau Brummell and Ian Kelly's Cooking For Kings Off Broadway for which Paul was Executive Producer. The company also has several projects in development including A Very Dear Boy in Sienna and the new musical MacGregor. Robert Cogo-Fawcett is Chairman of the company while Joe Harmston is the Chief Executive and Peter Teale the Finance Director.
Alongside Matthew Ashforde and Richard Lumsden, Paul Savident is a Director of Cloud Ten Productions – currently developing the work of Richard Lumsden including Skeletons, The Fall and Rise of Lenny Smallman (presented at The Mill, Guildford and formerly as We Could Be Heroes at the Bridewell Theatre Nov 2004) and A Good Place for Fishing. Matthew, Richard and Paul are also co-Directors of Cloud Ten Music which, in February, launched the new album PULL featuring songs written by Richard Lumsden and performed by Richard and his ex-HENRY KISSING HER bandmates.
Future producing projects include David Chisnell's Elvis, Lennon and JFK and Tony Bishard's Goldman Sacks! - both off-West End. Previous producing credits include The Fall & Rise of Lenny Smallman (The Mill, Guildford - Producer for Cloud Ten Productions), Beau Brummell and Cooking For Kings (both Off Broadway at 59E59 Theaters - Executive Producer), The Bush Theatre's production of Mammals (National Tour 2006 - Consultant Producer) and Richard Cameron's The Glee Club (Autumn 2004 national tour - Associate Producer), Marcus Markou's Age-Sex-Location at Riverside Studios (Feb/March 2004 - Co-Producer) and Daniel Abineri's Money to Burn at The Venue, London (October 2003 - Associate Producer). With Marcus Markou Paul is also developing a format for a new television series.
Paul’s marketing and press management company has worked on numerous projects including PWR Eye's Royal Windsor Observation Wheel, Joe & I starring Peter Bowles (King's Head, Islington), The Bush Theatre's The Glee Club (Duchess Theatre 2002 and National Tour Autumn 2004) and Mammals by Amelia Bullmore (National Tour Spring 2006), Puppetry of the Penis (National Tour and West End), Elvis, Lennon & JFK (tour Spring 2005), Hampstead Heath Ice Rink, Manchester United Ice Rink at Old Trafford,The Night of 1000 Voices at the Royal Albert Hall (1 May 2005 working alongside aka), The Bush Theatre's Damages by Steve Thompson and M.A.D. by David Eldridge, Peter Klein and Porgy Group Inc's Porgy & Bess (national tours), Money to Burn (The Venue, London), the national tour of David Hare's The Blue Room (Spring 2003 - starring Tracy Shaw and Jason Connery), Graham Greene's Travels With My Aunt (starring Gary Wilmot, Clive Francis and Jeffrey Holland), AWP's Copacabana (Summer 2003) starring Gemma Craven, Vanessa Ford The Hobbit (2 West End seasons and regular national tours), Qdos Entertainment's Boogie Nights (national tours), A Busy Day (Lyric Theatre, London), Mindgame (Vaudeville Theatre), Hard Times The Musical (Theatre Royal, Haymarket), the launch of the Agatha Christie Theatre Festival 2001 (Palace Theatre, Westcliff), Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens (The Albany, Deptford, October/November 2003), The City Club (Edinburgh 2004), The Donkey Show (Hanover Grand), Oxford Stage Company’s Comedians, Steven Berkoff's Messiah - Scenes of a Crucifixion (Riverside Studios), Zip-a-dee doo dah! (renamed Zipp!) devised and starring Gyles Brandreth, ex nihilo theatre's A Thought In Three Parts at BAC (Battersea Arts Centre) and Derevo's La Divini Commedia at the Riverside Studios.
As Marketing Manager for Bill Kenwright Paul worked on over 250 productions including Elvis The Concert (a ‘virtual Elvis’ national arena tour), A Streetcar Named Desire (starring Jessica Lange), The Peter Hall Company Season at the Piccadilly Theatre (1998/99), A Doll’s House (Belasco Theatre, Broadway - 4 Tony Awards), An Ideal Husband (London, national tours and Broadway), and Blood Brothers (London, nationals tour and Toronto). Prior to this period Paul co-ordinated a number of marketing campaigns including the launch of Cliff Richard’s Heathcliff and Evan Steadman's Maxwell The Musical (which never opened following an injunction by the Lord Chamberlain due to the then forthcoming Maxwell brothers' trial!).
